Sound Bin
Your Sound. Recorded.
An audio recorder for iPhone. It records the audio your phone is playing and saves it as a file you can name, trim, organize, and export — and it does the whole job on the device.
One button, then get on with it
Start a recording from the button in the app. iOS puts up its own recording sheet to confirm, and from there your phone is recording whatever it plays. Go do the thing. Come back, press stop, and the recording is waiting in your library.
Useful for the things you can't replay
A run of gameplay you want the audio from. The narration of a tutorial you'd rather listen to than rewatch. A voice memo of something you were in the middle of listening to. Anything your phone plays once and has no way to hand back to you afterward.
Trim off the ends
Every recording picks up a little junk at both ends — you starting it, you coming back to stop it. Drag two handles in and the ends are gone. The trim is non-destructive: the original file keeps everything, so a bad drag costs you nothing and reset always works.
Name it, or don't
When a new recording lands the app asks what to call it, with the field already focused. Skip it and it names itself after the date, so you're never blocked. There's an Unnamed filter for tidying up later, whenever later turns out to be.
Playlists, and a way out
Group recordings into playlists and drag them into the order you want. When you need one somewhere else, export it as a plain .m4a through the normal share sheet — into Files, into a message, into whatever you use. The trim is applied on the way out. Your recordings are never locked in.
10 grabs free, then $9.99 once
Sound Bin is free to download and includes 10 free recordings. After that, a one-time in-app purchase of $9.99 unlocks unlimited recordings — not a subscription, and it restores free on any iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account. Everything you've already recorded keeps working whether or not you unlock: playing, trimming, playlists and export are never held back.
Your recordings go where you send them
No account, no sign-in, no analytics. Recordings live in the app's own storage and go only where you send them. The full detail is on the privacy page.
