Sound Bin Privacy
Effective September 28, 2026
Here's the whole story, up front: Sound Bin has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, and no servers of ours. Your recordings are made and stored on your iPhone and go only where you send them. That isn't a promise we're asking you to trust; it's how the app is built.
Everything happens on your device
Recording, trimming, playback and export all happen on your iPhone. There's no server of ours for the app to talk to, no account to make and nothing to sign in to. The only network traffic is the App Store confirming your purchase, between your iPhone and Apple.
What we collect: nothing
We collect no personal data and no usage data of any kind. No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no ads, no trackers, no cookies. This is the same thing the app's App Store privacy label says: Data Not Collected. There's no dashboard on our end with your name on it, because there's no data to put there.
Where your recordings live
Recordings are written into the app's own storage on your iPhone — its private container, the same place any app keeps its own files. They are not written to your photo library, not synced to a server, and not shared with anyone. They stay there until you delete them, or until you delete the app, which takes them with it.
When something does leave, you sent it
Export hands a file to the standard iOS share sheet, and from there it goes wherever you point it — Files, a message, somewhere else on your phone. That only ever happens because you chose it, one file at a time. The app itself never initiates a transfer.
No third parties, no sharing, no selling
There are no SDKs, no ads and no analytics partners in the app. The one outside party is Apple, which handles the purchase exactly as it does for any App Store app: Apple takes the payment, and we learn nothing about who you are. We don't share data and we don't sell data, because we don't have any.
This website
To be straight with you: this page is a plain website, separate from the app. It runs no analytics, sets no cookies, and does no tracking. It's hosted on Vercel, which — like any web host — may keep standard server access logs (things like IP address, browser, and which page was requested) as part of normal operations. See Vercel's privacy policy for what that involves. None of that has anything to do with the app or your recordings.
Children
Sound Bin isn't directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone regardless of age — because it collects no data at all.
Your responsibility for what you record
You're responsible for what you record and what you do with it. Recordings are for your own personal use; please respect the rights of whoever made whatever you were listening to, and the laws where you live.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how any of this works, we'll update this page and move the effective date at the top. Since the app collects nothing, we don't expect the substance here to change — but if it does, you'll see it here.
