What we do.
Birch Tree Studio produces opinionated products with conviction. Some quiet and self-contained, some ambitious in scope — all sharing a house style, a shared backend, and a point of view.
Our products aren't for everyone. They stay focused so they stay useful. They pick a side and stick to it. They're designed to feel human, not corporate.
How we work.
Opinionated by design. Every product takes a position. A task manager that admits half your list won't get done. A dev tool that stores JSON without asking why. Products that carry the same conviction whether they're a two-week experiment or a two-year build. If the product doesn't have a point of view, we don't ship it.
Radical simplicity as method. Lean by default. Ship what earns it. Refuse features until usage validates them. Fix waste before buying capacity. This isn't asceticism — it's how you keep quality high and costs low, at any scale.
A shared backbone. Our products run on onejsonfile, the persistence layer we also sell to other developers. Every product benefits from being both a producer and a consumer of studio infrastructure.
Consistent voice. Same design language, same footer treatment, same character across every product we ship. You should be able to tell it's a BTS product before you read the name.
